Flowers

A few random shots of the kids

It is a very rare thing for my children to sit still and pose for a picture. There's a few here, but most of these are candid snapshots. I really like the one of Tyler concentrating and cutting with the scissors. The way it was captured, it looks like he's cutting really fast. ☺ I don't know why Tyler and Cameron have decided that the no teeth smile is now the way to go. These days, it's pretty much all I can get out of them.

The Zoo

Taken: April 2009
Subjects: Peyton, Penguins, Avery & Zebras

Easter 2009

I'm a little late with these. Most of them aren't that great. I didn't have the most cooperative of subjects, but I suppose that doesn't really matter.

Baby Adam

Subject: Adam Rusty Jones
Born: May 24, 2009 @ 12:53 a.m.
Taken: May 24, 2009 @ around 8:00 p.m. (about 19 hours old)
Shot in manual, no flash mode. I hardly ever use my flash. Especially on people. I don't like the washed out effect it can sometimes give.

I'm just testing something

I just made my own signature because I didn't have one on this blog. I'm just trying to figure it all out.

I just added it to the other posts and it works. Hooray! I'll be using it from now on.

Same thing, different perspective

These 2 shots are of the same item. The closure on my camera bag. They were taken from the exact same position. One view is obviously close up, the other focusing on the background. It's fun to experiment with the depth of field.

Pregnant Emily

Taken: April 2009 at around 9:00 a.m. It was freezing that morning. I had on a sweatshirt to stay warm, but I made her be in a skirt and go barefoot. I'm nice like that.
Subject: My sister in law Emily. I've posted a couple of these on Chrissie Pooh, but figured there was nothing wrong with posting some on a blog that's supposed to be a picture blog. I've done nothing with them. No cropping or editing in Photoshop. Yet. I will do that someday.

Do I have to?

Taken: March 2009 at around 6:00 pm.
Subject: Tyler - refusing to look up and pouting because he was bored.
